WE ARE BOONE

In 2016, we launched a major capital campaign to renovate our sports facilities. The improvements will improve player safety, increase community pride and help our athletes better compete against other area schools.

We can’t do it without you.

We need support from our families, faculty, alumni and community! Find out how you can help us Revive the Tribe.

HOME OF THE BRAVES

If you’re part of the Boone High School family, you know we are a place unlike any other. A place where young minds are engaged. Where confidence and character are built. Where respect and responsibility are learned. Where wisdom is passed down through generations.

LET’S LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD

With nearly 3,000 students and actively involved parents, faculty and administrative staff, our A-rated high school is bustling from sunrise to well past sunset.  Our student athletes compete in 18 different team sports, from soccer and lacrosse to swimming, track and field; and football.  We are proud to say our athletes are consistently recognized for their academic achievements and high graduation rates.

As one of Orlando’s earliest high school’s founded in 1952, Boone has seen many upgrades in our classrooms and gathering areas, but it’s been difficult to find funds to bring our sports facilities — especially our aging football stadium — up to par with other, newer high schools.

Today, the Boone High School Athletic Association has developed a community-driven plan to renovate the sports complex. The plan calls for adding a synthetic-turf field, a rubberized track, renovated concessions, a new digital scoreboard and lighting for the baseball fields.

RENOVATION PLAN

SUPPORT THE CAUSE

HOW WE BENEFIT

Upgraded facilities will not only help Boone athletes better compete with other public and private schools, they will increase student safety — a top priority — and restore community pride.  They’ll also create opportunities for our school that otherwise wouldn’t have been available to us.

The upgrades will result in better, safer training conditions for student athletes, cheerleaders and others using the field and track.

The upgrades will restore a sense of pride and ownership among the school’s students, alumni, parents, faculty and staff.

The upgrades will allow Boone to compete for and host high-profile state meets, tournaments and special events.

WHAT SUPPORTERS ARE SAYING

“A huge thank you to the Boone family and community who have been nothing but a strong support system that backed me since my student days. I’m super excited for the renovation on the Reservation and I’m 100% sure that the next generation of Braves will love and cherish it as they should.”

“The improvements to Boone High School’s facilities will not only enhance the Sports Commission’s efforts in attracting sporting activities to the area, such as team training opportunities, but more importantly add a new venue to offer in our portfolio.”

“The improvements to Boone High School’s facility will benefit area students and families while creating another asset that can be leveraged to land more neutral site business. Having quality fields and facilities available to use for practice and ancillary events is extremely important when competing for major events.”
